School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Jeffersonville, Indiana

A contract position is available for a skilled Registered Nurse to deliver 1:1 support for a student in a learning environment located approximately 20 minutes north of Louisville, IN. You’ll make a meaningful difference in a student’s day and provide peace of mind for their family and educational team.

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license in Indiana
• Previous experience in a pediatric, school, or one-on-one nursing capacity preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Able to work independently and collaborate with educational staff
• CPR and First Aid certification (current)
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day, including administering medications, monitoring health status, and responding to medical needs
• Support the student in academic and extracurricular activities as necessary
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to implement the student’s health care plan
• Maintain accurate and timely health records and report any significant medical events
• Educate the student and, when appropriate, staff on health-related matters
• Uphold a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students
