Special Education Teacher in Henrico, VA

Two opportunities are available for Special Education Teachers in a contract role, where you'll provide individualized instruction and case management for up to 14 students. This full-time position runs from 8:45am to 4:15pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Role Highlights:

• Serve as case manager for up to 14 students, developing educational plans and tracking student progress.
• Write and implement IEPs tailored to each student's learning needs.
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with families, service providers, and school teams.
• Monitor and document student progress, using data to adjust instruction and strategies.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Utilize strong communication and organizational skills to foster positive relationships and ensure high-quality educational delivery.

What You Need to Bring:

• Valid Special Education teaching license.
• Experience with writing IEPs and managing special education caseloads.
• Familiarity with progress monitoring and data-driven instruction.
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners with compassion and professionalism.
