Registered Nurse School Setting in Elgin, IL

An excellent part-time opportunity is available providing 1:1 nursing support for a preschool student with complex medical needs. Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois required
• Demonstrated prior experience caring for patients with G-tubes, tracheostomies, and ventilators
• Previous critical care nursing experience highly preferred
• Must have current CPR certification and provide documentation upon application
• LPNs will not be considered for this assignment

Responsibilities:

• Meet the student at home at approximately 12:30PM Tuesday through Friday, accompany them on the bus to school, remain with the student throughout the school day, and return home on the bus
• Deliver skilled nursing care including G-tube feedings, trach care, ventilator management, and emergency response as needed
• Collaborate with school staff, family, and medical providers to ensure the student’s health and safety
• Monitor and document the student’s condition, interventions delivered, and any changes in status in accordance with nursing standards
• Maintain strict confidentiality around all student information
